” sadaqah never diminishes wealth;” These are words that the Messenger of God, may God bless him, taught us, where these meanings are felt and understood by those who used to give sadaqah in secret.
also the Prophet taught us about the sadaqah that through it the believer guard themselves against Hellfire, as he says, peace be upon him, in the honorable hadith: “Guard yourselves against the Fire (of Hell) even if it is only with half a date-fruit”
Saddaqa and its virtues
God commanded us to give Saddaqa so that we may gain righteousness, and not to forget the needy and the weak from our donations. As The Almighty said: “O you who believe, Spend out of (the bounties) We have provided for you” And “If you disclose (acts of) charity, even so it is well, but if you conceal them, and make them reach those (really) in need, that is best for you.” This means that it is better to give alms in secret so that your left hand does not know what your right hand spends.
Sadaqah is a religious concept that means giving a gift to the needy intending to get closer to God and seek forgiveness, and it is one of the acts of worship that leaves a great impact on society spreading the spirit of cooperation. And brotherhood between members of society that removes envy and hatred.
Our Messenger taught us through his hadiths that with the Sadaqah we obtain God’s blessing, and with it, the believer asks his God to heal from illness, as the Messenger of God, may God bless him, said. “Treat your patients with Sadaqah”, sadaqah also repels affliction and brings peace to the heart and soul
Sadaqah is a blessing and care for money, as the Messenger, may God bless him, advised merchants to give Sadaqah to purify their money.
And to those who give Sadaqah, one of the gates of Paradise is called the Gate of Charity.
From the other types comes Everlasting Sadaqah, which remains for the believer even after his death.
The fields of everlasting sadaqah, are many, including digging wells and drawing water, as the Prophet replied to the question of “What kind of sadaqah is best?” with: “Providing drinking water.” also when the Prophet recived a question of “What (sort of) deeds in or (what qualities of) Islam are good?” He replied, “To feed (the poor) and greet those whom you know and those whom you don’t know.”
‘Or the giving of food in a day of hunger’
There are times when your Sadaqah, no matter how small, has a great impact, such as the time when people have an urgent need for someone to help them, as the Almighty said, “’Or the giving of food in a day of hunger’.
Today, thousands of displaced people live in difficult humanitarian conditions in northwest Syria.
In order to fill the urgent need in northwest Syria, especially in the camps for the displaced, which are inhabited by more than 1.5 million people, your everlasting sadaqah will change the lives of thousands and contribute to feeding those who are starving, and saving their lives from danger after reaching the highest levels of poverty and lack of Food security.
the extent of the suffering and tragedy experienced by the population in northwest Syria, where it is difficult for the people to secure basic needs such as bread, medicine and fuel with the economic crises that the region is experiencing, besides the lack of job opportunities, and the pandemic of the Covid-19, where the people have faced more suffering that has been going on for ten years.
Your everlasting sadaqah also have a noticeable effect in securing home for dozens of families, so this sadaqah is included in the oeverlasting sadaqah that the Messenger spoke about in his hadith: ‘The rewards of the good deeds that will reach a believer after his death are: Knowledge which he taught and spread; a righteous son whom he leaves behind; a copy of the Qur’an that he leaves as a legacy; a mosque that he built; a house that he built for wayfarers; a canal that he dug; or charity that he gave during his lifetime when he was in good health. These deeds will reach him after his death.'”
