A severe low-pressure system has brought a series of heavy rain and snowstorms never seen in years to Northern Syria, causing a humanitarian catastrophe in refugee camps, which resulted in many distress calls to clear the road and provide urgent aid.
The refugee tents have already exceeded 80% of their design life and cannot withstand the heavy snowfall putting everyone in refugee camps under severe risk.
In response, a group of Syrian humanitarian organizations has come together to launch an urgent response campaign named “Give them Warmth” to provide urgent aid and support to the families in Northern Syrian camps.
Out of a sense of responsibility of many organizations, this campaign will be implemented entirely directly to the most vulnerable and try to limit the effects of these tragic circumstances.
