World Cup Children in Camps
Supporting children's right to play
Campaign amount so far!
“More than a million displaced people live with their families after being displaced from their cities and villages to northwest Syria, where they live in the harshest living conditions that are no longer hidden from anyone. Tents do not protect against the summer heat or the winter cold, except for their distance from education, health, and safe play.
We, as Violet Organization, are trying to alleviate the conditions and psychological distress experienced by the camp residents in general and the children through our psychological support and self-healing programs.
Football is one of the most popular games, so the idea of a football tournament and training was essential to achieve the above in terms of supporting children and adults.
The championship idea is creating a miniature version of the World Cup held in Qatar in one of the camps in northwest Syria, with the participation of 32 teams of children from the camps, where 25 teams were selected from 25 camps, in addition to 7 teams of children working in industrial areas. They will compete according to the round of 32, with the teams named after the names of the actual teams. Ensure that the visual formulation of the international teams is shown.
The children with the most physical, mental, and skill abilities were selected according to specific ages to form the teams and conduct sports training for them within four months by specialized trainers, where they will receive practical and theoretical training as a complete physical preparation before the start of the tournament, after which the roles will be 16-8-4-2 and then the final crowning.”
