Covid-19 for community care centers
After the vaccination campaign started of the Covid-19 vaccine in NW Syria, health workers of the community care centers for the Corona epidemic in Idlib and Ariha received the vaccine.
Covid-19 vaccine in northwestern Syria
The first batch arrived in northern Syria on Wednesday, April 21, and contained 53,800 doses of the British AstraZeneca Oxford vaccine authorized by the World Health Organization.
The vaccination campaign was launched on the morning of Saturday, May 1, 2021, which is supposed to last for three weeks to cover all the health facilities in Idlib Governorate.
The campaign aims to vaccinate the most vulnerable people to infection with the Covid-19 epidemic, such as health workers, civil defense personnel, and humanitarian organizations.
Violet Team's response during the COVID-19 period
Throughout the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic in northern Syria, Violet teams sought to respond to the pandemic, as Violet teams received 5,700 suspected cases within three community treatment centers in Ariha, Idlib, and Kafr Takharim, and carried out sterilization operations for more than 470 thousand square meters. It has also worked to distribute pandemic-specific materials and equipment, such as hand paws, masks, protective clothing, and sterilization materials to medical centers. And ongoing awareness campaigns to spread the information about the epidemic and Standard procedures to protect in northern-west Syria.
